How do I make a referral?

How much do you charge? Are your fees covered by OHIP?

I charge an hourly fee for all psychological services, including psychotherapy, assessment, and consultation. My fees correspond with the average cost of treatment services for psychologists practicing in the GTA according to the Ontario Psychological Association’s 2024 Comprehensive Fee Survey report.

My fees are covered by most Extended Health Care Benefit plans. Please check with your insurance provider to determine how much coverage is provided for the services of a registered psychologist and whether or not you need a referral from your physician in order to have your fees reimbursed. Fees for psychological services not covered by benefits may be claimed as medical expenses on your personal income tax return. Services provided by a psychologist in private practice are not covered by OHIP.

What forms of payment do you accept?

At present, I accept cash, personal cheque, and email money transfers (etransfers). Generally, payment is due at the end of each session. However, in some cases, monthly billing may be arranged. You will be provided with invoices and/or receipts for payment.

What are your office hours?

I currently see clients on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and offer daytime and some limited evening appointments.

Cancellation policy

I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. This means that once an appointment is scheduled, you will be financially responsible for the full session fee unless you provide 24 hours advance notice of cancellation. It is important to note that insurance companies generally do not provide reimbursement for cancelled sessions.

How do you keep my information private and confidential?

Keeping your information private and confidential is a priority for me and I follow the confidentiality requirements of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. I will discuss privacy and confidentiality at your first visit, answer any questions you may have, and invite you to review and sign a written document which includes my policy on confidentiality.
